Each day since Mid-March our teams have worked diligently to protect our residents and each other from Covid-19. This virus that has shut down countries and brought the world to a standstill has been on all our minds--we are sure yours as well-- nearly constantly for most of 2020. Finally, we breathe a sigh of relief and see a clear pathway to health, safety, and a return to having friends and family joining us in our community.

Long Term Care communities and healthcare staff were given top priority to receive the Covid-19 vaccine by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Each individual state working with pharmacy partners are working at this moment on distribution plans. Many of you have questions regarding the vaccine and its distribution. We have put together a Fact Sheet to help answer some of those questions and will be rolling out an informational campaign to continue our commitment to transparency and communication.

Routine and regular testing of all residents and staff continues. In our latest round of testing we have received positive test results for one additional employee and six additional residents. Employees with current positive test results remain offsite until recovered following CDC guidelines. All residents remain on isolation precautions. Outdoor and open window visits remain temporarily suspended. We will continue with routine monitoring of residents and notify primary contacts directly if their loved one exhibits symptoms or receives positive test results from this last round of testing.
Note: While we encourage discussion and communication on our page, misinformation and unsubstantiated claims will be removed from this comment thread. We encourage you to learn more about the vaccine through our linked Fact post, the CDC's website, or your personal doctor.
